Research Division: Mechanical Process Engineering and Clean Air Technology

This research division Mechanical Process Engineering and Clean Air Technology deals with chemical engineering processes, which have particles as substances.
Firstly the focus of the research work lies on separation of particle from air and from liquids with special attention to fine particles sizes. Fine particles below 10 µm are becoming more and more actual, due to their environmental aspect.

Secondly the focus of the research work lies on particles with fibrous structure. Chemical Engineering processes, which include fiber for processing or productive, are growing. Therefore the research division Mechanical Process Engineering and Clean Air Technology is divided up in 2 research groups:
