Test Laboratory for Combustion Systems
The notified testing laboratory for combustion systems is one of the leading laboratories for fuel characterization, testing of small as well as large scale combustion systems and measurements of gaseous emissions in Austria. It is based on a long tradition but the activities have always been adapted to the needs of the clients. The laboratory has got the accreditation for its main activities and has established a quality management system according to ÖVE/ÖNORM EN ISO/IEC 17025.
One current main focus is renewable energy especially biomass and biofuels. Besides fuel analysis and measurements for classical biomass conversion technologies such as combustion also gasification and pyrolysis are of main interest and new measurement techniques for these technologies are under development.
